Rebellions are built on hope 25/05/2018

If you love driving on an open road, I don’t think it follows that you want to be a car mechanic. But I believe that if you love playing games, you will love making games. Especially if you are both creative and technical. I think your head with explode with the sheer force of the creative energy that will be unleashed. It will be like throwing a match into a pool of napalm. We are going to fill your fuel tank with weapons grade unobtanium.

Until recently, I was very particular about the games that I played. I thought my time was precious and only allowed myself to play the games I anticipated the most, like Grand Theft Auto 5 or Horizon Zero Dawn. Since Epic Games made it free to use their game engine, my attitude changed completely. I found myself making games for up to 8 hours a day, on top of a 40 hour work week. I suddenly became interested in lots of different types of games, just because I could now imagine making and playing them. I loved it so much, I decided to quit my job. I dared to dream…

Now I want to invite you to share that dream with me. I am not going to wait for Naughty Dog or Rockstar North to call me. No way. I would be waiting forever. It is like trying to get into a castle surrounded by a moat. They wont lower the drawbridge unless you have already lived in that castle. Well, they are living in the past. All it takes is a decent tank or a Mother Of All Bombs to turn that castle into rubble. This is a new dawn.

Ninja Theory have shown that. They were able to take creative risks and make a game for a fraction of cost of a traditional studio, then practically break even on their first day of sales. All with less than 30 people.

Rebellions are built on hope.  I am not going to quit.  You will have to take the mouse out of my cold dead hands.  If you want to be the best, if you are never going to give up on yourself, I will not give up on you.  I will take you from zero to hero.  I have to open the door but you have to walk through it. You will have to be a warrior and confront your fears. But we will keep each other honest and watch each others backs.

When the zombie apocalypse comes, we will walk into the fray together my brother, locked and loaded, with no fear in our hearts.
